…and here is the September 2010 issue of Vogue China featuring Ford’s Tao Okamoto in an editorial entitled “The Micro Wave” photographed by Sølve Sundsbø and styled by Marie Chaix. The 5’10” (178 cm) Japanese model brings to life these 1960 inspired looks for fall 2010 not least of which includes the short yellow dress by Miu Miu, a clear stand-out amongst the fine black ensembles. Tao is rather exceptional in her ability to punctuate these relatively restrained looks with movement…an upward pogo, shoulder faint, toe step. The Art + Commerce photographer, it must be said, also keeps it very simple for this mod story, thus making it a rather far cry from his recent studies in fluid dynamics for Vogue Nippon and Numero. Needless to say the Ford Models Blog cannot wait to buy both issues (Lindbergh & Jackson) when they hit the Manhattan newsstands.
