Ford’s Hildie Gifstad features in Wonderland September / October 2010 photographed by Vicky Trombetta. For an interview series with emerging designers Graeme Armour, Craig Lawrence, Hakaan, Shao Yen Chen, Nasir Mazhar, and Irina Shaposhnikova Hildie is given over to fashion editor Julia Sarr- Jamois to model example looks for the designers. Turkish-born, London-based Hakan Yildirim‘s has received special editorial attention this month also in Pop and for good reason, his work is both modern and wearable. Fellow Turk Mert Alas has not only leveraged this valuable discovery of his in Hakaan, but also serves as the line’s creative director, thus ensuring at the very least Hakaan is a part of the conversation. Twelve pages of Wonderland later and another thing is also for certain and that is that Hildie Gifstad is central to the conversation.
