Max Motta & Bernard Fouquet for Tommy Hilfiger F/W 10 by Damien Neva

Thanksgiving is rarely ever a good time to do anything save recovering from the nearly requisite food coma that accompanies the fourth Thursday in November of the American calendar. We thought about the best ways to mark the holiday that kicks off the festive season proper. There is William S. Burroughs‘s “A Thanksgiving Prayer” or even Joe Frank‘s meditation on the holiday called “Pilgrim,” but excellent though both are, neither quite fit the bill for this page. However, seeing as how the Ford Models Blog for one reason or another never made mention of one of the most memorable and enjoyable campaigns of the F/W 10 season it would like to make amends on this Thanksgiving 2010. We are of course talking about the Tommy Hilfiger F/W 10 campaign from the formidable triumvirate of photographer Craig McDean, fashion editor Karl Templer, and creative director Trey Laird of Laird+Partners that features Ford Men’s Max Motta (sultry, clean-shaven blonde with curls) and Ford Men Direct’s Bernard Fouquet (family head). Yes, there is more than a touch of Wes Anderson about this campaign to the point where it’s nearly unpalatable, but as it is Thanksgiving we can hardly begrudge Tommy for going with what works. And for the very American brand that celebrates its twenty-fifth year it has worked out magnificently.

So, kick back, digest those 4000 calories consumed in the last hour and enjoy this video treatment for the campaign starring “The Hilfigers” in “Feast Interruptus” by director Francis Lawrence.
