Ford Models Blog

The Perrett 100 of 2010 by Damien Neva

The Ford Models Blog generally isn’t one for lists let alone the hastily-assembled best-of variety that invariably crop up at the end of the calendar year. Lately many of them inexplicably begin with My Beautiful Dark Something or Other, which for this page anyway casts a dubious light over the rest of the rankings. Today, however we make an exception for a truly incredible list in every respect from conceptualization to curation to artistic execution. We’re talking about COACD casting director Douglas Perrett‘s “The Perrett 100 of 2010,” which cheekily renders the “100 baddest bitches in the business” including Ford’s Anna Jagodzinska, Crystal Renn, Daiane Conterato, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Hannelore Knuts, Karmen Pedaru, Rose Cordero, and Valejia Kelava. The special commission by artist Andrea Mary Marshall for COACD is the third annual installment of Perrett’s client gift and is limited to a first run of 500 prints. The Ford Models Blog is fortunate to have received its own copy late Thursday and can’t wait to frame it. In addition to fine casting (e.g., Robert Geller S/S 11) the social media presence Douglas brings to COACD is unrivaled. Bravo and thank you!
