Ford Men’s Ethan James isn’t having an awful 2011 by any stretch. The Michigan native has been in Paris for the previous fortnight during which time he walked for Kris Van Assche, Yigal Azrouël, and closed Dior Homme by wearing a stunning solid red number with black hat and shoes. But, Ethan’s prowess isn’t confined to the runway, nay, he’s also well versed in the arts of the magazine editorial — L’Officiel Hommes China cover story, anyone?! Well, if you didn’t pick up that issue in Beijing last fall, then Ethan’s done all of us Stateside a favor by landing a peach of a story that appears in Interview February 2011 by photographer Mikael Jansson and stylist Karl Templer. Simply titled “Bare” the story sees Ethan wear very little save the odd Hanro brief in the steamy baths interior fashioned by set designer Stefan Beckman. But then again, if Sam Doerfler‘s Polaroids of Ethan taught anything, then it’s surely to keep this model shirtless. As it so happens even master stylist Karl Templer has taken heed by not deviating from this winning formula. If this starring editorial role in an excellent issue of Interview that also features Tom Ford doesn’t convince anyone of Ethan’s rising star, then watch this page closely because there is plenty to come that also will be laid bare.
