Ming Xi for Diane von Furstenberg S/S 11 by Damien Neva

Ever since the Ford Models Blog left for Milan, spent sleepless nights in Milan, and returned from Milan it has had a devil of a time catching up with the countless editorials and campaigns that surfaced in its absence. Today and every day until New York Fashion Week F/W 11 this page will do its best to put that right and we thus begin with Ford’s Ming Xi featuring for the Diane von Furstenberg S/S 11 campaign by photographer Glen Luchford and stylist Anastasia Barbieri. Having featured two looks for the New York designer’s spring 2011 womenswear collection last September it’s not surprising to see Ming cast for the spring campaign. The green hue of Ming’s dress certainly pops when set against neutral background that looks remarkably similar to the walls from the opening scene apartment in Last Tango in Paris. Whether or not that’s intentional is neither here nor there. It’s sexy and in terms of sales ought to see more action than even Marlon Brando‘s character in Bertolucci‘s blue masterpiece.
