The cobwebs are still pretty thick from the show season, but not so thick as to obscure an important story from being posted on this page. When it comes to stories that simply cannot be overlooked, then they don’t come much more imperative than an editorial featuring Ford Men’s AJ Abualrub. If the French magazine in which this spread appears didn’t immediately come to mind, Chic, then its photographer Randall Mesdon did. Readers will recall Mesdon having previously photographed AJ for a story in Seventh Man Issue 2 A/W 2010. Titled “Idol” this story, which was styled by Nicolas Klam, sets the stage for the sort of worship to which AJ has no doubt grown accustomed since his Calvin Klein campaign debut a couple years ago. AJ extends the excellent form he exhibited on the runway this season for amongst others Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein, and Michael Kors to the page by doing what he does best, look drop dead gorgeous whilst demonstrating the fine art of the thousand mile stare. Whether or not it’s considered idolatry is neither here nor there, but frankly speaking AJ Abualrub is indeed worthy of this page’s worship and yours.
