After having ditched the Lone Star State at a dodgy RER station in les banlieues outside of the French capital, the “Paris & Texas” theme of Sleek N°29 Spring 2011 continues apace with this editorial titled “Parisien” featuring Ford Men’s Nikola Jovanovic photographed by Markus Jans. Seeing the chiseled 6’2″ (188 cm) Serbian from outside of the candied frame of Mert & Marcus still comes as a bit of a novelty, but increasingly it has come to demonstrate the very photogenic wherewithal with which Nikola launched his outstanding modeling career. Modeling opposite of Maaike (Select; not below pictured), Nikola opens this Isabelle Thiry-styled story wearing a gilet and trousers by Dior Homme. The styling for the most part maintains fidelity with its minimalist opening, which allows for a bit of flourish through makeup by Martena Duss. In his final portrait of the shoot, wearing a coat with inside belt and trousers by Lanvin, Nikola’s mouth and cheek appear covered by a glossy black conical swatch. Très parisien! And also very Nikola Jovanovic.
